Associate Professor Kenneth Nathan
Associate Professor Kenneth Nathan has been practicing Obstetrics & Gynaecology for over two decades, since graduating from Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK) in 1993. He practiced initially in the UK (where he completed his specialist training in 2001) and has been practicing in Australia since 2009. He has spent 15 of those years working in full-time public tertiary referral centres with more than 2000 deliveries per year. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (Aus), and is a registered specialist in both the UK and Australia.
Prior to moving to Perth in 2012, he was the Lead Obstetrician at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Hobart, Tasmania. Full-time public practice in tertiary-level regional and district general hospitals over the last 20 years has provided him with a deep and comprehensive understanding of the entire spectrum of general Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as developing sub-specialist skills in Labour Ward Management and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is an instructor for Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) and Anatomy of Complications course in Perth, and an Associate Professor for Curtin University in Perth, and was a Senior Clinical Tutor for the University of Tasmania and his alma mater, Queen’s University of Belfast.
Dr Aseel Alkiaat
Dr Aseel Alkiaat has been working as an obstetrician and gynaecologist since 2006 and completed her training at King Edward Memorial Hospital. She has worked at many different hospitals around Perth including Osborne Park and Joondalup as well as several rural hospitals. In the past few years she has been working as the Head of Service, Maternity Unit at Bentley Health Service. She is passionate about women’s health and education and enjoys working with women and helping them during different stages of their lives. Her areas of special interest include endometriosis, infertility, laparoscopy, menorrhagia, colposcopy, hysteroscopy and prolapse management.
Dr Joo P. Teoh
Dr Joo P. Teoh has extensive experience as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the UK. He is also a UK subspecialist in reproductive medicine and fertility; he was appointed to complete this subspecialist program (RCOG UK) via a highly competitive national selection. While in the UK Joo was also the chairperson for the national trainees in reproductive medicine and fertility. Joo performs laparoscopic surgery for fertility and gynaecology patients; he completed RCOG UK advanced training in gynaecology surgery & laparoscopy. Joo also has a special interest in looking after and delivering obstetrics patients, especially women in their pregnancies after assisted conception. Besides his busy private practice, he is dedicated to looking after public patients and teaching junior doctors in WA’s tertiary women’s hospital King Edward Memorial as a specialist consultant. Joo relocated with his family to Perth, Australia in early 2015. He prides himself in providing a personalised, patient-centred care & support. He continues his research interest in fertility, and also in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia. He speaks fluent Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese and Malay (Bahasa Melayu).
